Q: How long do you play for?

We are happy to be very flexible with set times and duration based on your event budget.

The most common requests for bands are to play 2 x 45 minute sets. However, with The Maverick Rejects our standard sets are roughly two hours split however you’d like! You also get complimentary DJ playlist between all sets.

If your budget is lower we may be able to provide one 80 minute “super” set.

Q: How far do you travel?

We are based in South Tyneside, but we regularly play throughout North-East England and will happily travel to your venue, even if it means adding a small travel allowance to the fee.

We are also able to play nationally across mainland UK but please note, our fee will have to reflect accommodation and travel needs.

Q: How much do you charge?

There are tons of considerations to make for every quote and every gig is different. However, if you call us or send us an email with your date, location and requirements, we can provide you a quote fairly easily.

For weddings, if you fill in our Wedding Booking form, your details will feed into our enquiry system and we will get back to you as quickly as possibly

Q: Do you have your own equipment and insurance?

We pride ourselves on our professional standard RCF PA System equipment which includes wireless mixing via an iPad so our footprint on a stage is fairly small, even for a trio!

We find our rig is more than suitable for over 95% of the bookings we take on. If your event is a Festival or in an unusually large space please mention this to us upon enquiry!

All of our equipment is PAT tested and we have Musician’s Union Public Liability Insurance. We also provide our own lighting system.

Q: Where can we see you live, before booking?

Q: What happens when the band is not playing?

Between our sets, we provide a complimentary DJ service tailored to your function & taste til 12am. While this isn’t the same as your own dedicated DJ, paired with our top notch PA and lights it’s a great solution for those on a budget.

If required, you can help to design your ideal playlist so that you and your guests hear what you want to hear.

Q: Can the band learn our first dance?

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to perform everyone’s first dance, we find more often than not that this is not possible due to the band’s limited instrumental and vocal lineup.

However, we always provide a recorded version over our PA system, which we find to be much less intrusive and flexible.

Q: Can we pick the set list?

Thankfully, after years of playing functions, reading crowds and receiving an enormous amount of positive feedback, we have a very good idea of what to play to keep you and your guests on the dance floor, so there’s no need to prescribe every song.

However, we are more than happy for you to request particular favourite songs from our extensive set list, and also exclude any you can’t abide!
